Tech Dragon Mail Conduit Requirements, Supported MailPoet Messages, and Compatibility

Product Knowledgebase View Plugin

This article defines the practical compatibility boundary for Tech Dragon Mail Conduit 1.0.0 without assuming that every MailPoet, SMTP, provider, or hosting combination behaves identically.

Core requirements

  • A working WordPress installation capable of running Tech Dragon Mail Conduit 1.0.0.
  • MailPoet installed and active.
  • A WordPress mail-delivery or SMTP plugin that correctly handles the standard WordPress wp_mail() path.
  • A functioning downstream provider configuration owned by that mail-delivery plugin.
  • Administrator access for installation, activation, and troubleshooting.

The exact WordPress/PHP compatibility declared by the distributed package and installer should be treated as authoritative for the release you are installing.

Supported MailPoet messages

Tech Dragon Mail Conduit is designed for the MailPoet messages that the current release can safely convert and preserve through the WordPress mail path. Supported messages must pass the bridge's required compatibility checks before Tech Dragon Mail Conduit takes control of the handoff.

Do not assume that every future MailPoet message type or internal sending path is automatically supported. If the bridge cannot establish the required compatibility conditions, its safety model is designed to leave MailPoet's native behavior untouched rather than force the handoff.

Downstream mail-delivery compatibility

Tech Dragon Mail Conduit is designed to work with mail-delivery plugins that operate through WordPress wp_mail(). The Free plan is positioned for broad compatibility with popular SMTP plugins and common server architectures, but the decisive requirement is the downstream plugin's correct handling of the standard WordPress mail path.

What compatibility does not mean

  • Tech Dragon Mail Conduit does not certify every SMTP provider.
  • Tech Dragon Mail Conduit does not guarantee a third-party plugin will never change its wp_mail() behavior.
  • Tech Dragon Mail Conduit does not guarantee provider acceptance or inbox placement.
  • A working WordPress mail path does not prove that DNS authentication or provider configuration is correct.

Pro compatibility tools

Tech Dragon Mail Conduit Pro adds tools intended to make compatibility and configuration state easier to verify, including Test My MailPoet Stack, Bridge Setup Check, Configuration Drift Detection, Send Path Inspector, and Bridge Health Monitoring.

When to re-check compatibility

  • after updating MailPoet;
  • after changing or updating your SMTP/mail-delivery plugin;
  • after changing hosting or PHP configuration;
  • after changing mail-provider settings; or
  • whenever Tech Dragon Mail Conduit reports that validation or attention is required.
