Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Tech Dragon LTD handles personal information when you visit thetechdragon.dev, contact us, request support, subscribe to product updates, purchase or license products when those services are available, or use Tech Dragon services that send information to this website.

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Privacy in plain language: We collect the information needed to run the site, respond to you, provide and support our products, process licensing or purchases when applicable, and protect our systems. Some functions rely on specialist service providers such as Cloudflare, Freemius, email-delivery providers, and security services. We do not want passwords, API secrets, private keys, SMTP credentials, or full license keys submitted through our contact or support forms.

1. Who we are

The Tech Dragon LTD operates this website and the Tech Dragon WordPress products and services described on it. References to “Tech Dragon,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy mean The Tech Dragon LTD.

For privacy questions or requests, use our Contact page.

2. Information we collect

Information you send to us

When you use a contact or support form, we may receive information such as your name, email address, website address, inquiry category, message or project summary, technical environment details, product/version information, and any other information you choose to include. Product support forms may also request optional purchase-identification information such as a purchase email address or order identifier.

Please do not include passwords, API keys, Cloudflare secrets, SMTP credentials, private keys, payment-card details, or other sensitive credentials in a contact or support request.

Purchases, licensing, and account information

When paid products or licensing are offered through Freemius or another commerce provider, the provider may process information needed to complete the transaction and manage licensing, such as your name, email address, billing information, transaction details, product/license information, and account identifiers. Payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider; Tech Dragon uses the transaction and licensing information made available to us to deliver, administer, and support the product.

Mailing lists and product announcements

If you choose to subscribe to a mailing list or product-announcement list when one is offered, we may store your email address, subscription status, and related subscription records. Mailing-list data may be managed through MailPoet and the mail-delivery services configured for this site. You can unsubscribe using the link included in applicable marketing or announcement messages.

Optional plugin telemetry

Some Tech Dragon plugins may offer optional telemetry or diagnostic reporting. If you enable such a feature, the website may receive technical product and environment information used to understand compatibility, reliability, and feature usage. The exact fields, purpose, and available controls should be disclosed by the applicable plugin or its documentation. Telemetry is intended for technical product information rather than the contents of your support messages.

Server, security, and diagnostic information

Like most websites, our hosting, security, and application systems may automatically process technical information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, browser or user-agent information, protocol information, response status, and security-event data. We use this information to operate the site, troubleshoot problems, detect abuse, investigate attacks, and maintain service reliability.

3. Cloudflare Turnstile and anti-abuse protection

Forms on this site may use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated or abusive traffic. When Turnstile runs, information needed to perform the challenge and verification may be processed by Cloudflare, including network and browser/device signals and the verification token returned to our server. We use Turnstile for security and spam prevention, not as a substitute for the form information you intentionally submit.

We may also use WordPress security tools, including Wordfence and server-level controls, to detect malicious requests, enforce security rules, and maintain security logs. These systems may process IP addresses and request/security metadata.

4. How we use information

Responding to requests. We use contact and support information to answer questions, provide support, discuss projects, and communicate about work you ask us to perform.

Providing products and services. We use account, purchase, licensing, and technical information to deliver products, manage entitlements, provide updates, diagnose compatibility issues, and support customers.

Operating and securing the site. We use technical and security data to run the website, prevent spam and abuse, diagnose failures, monitor availability, and protect our infrastructure and users.

Product improvement. Where optional diagnostic or telemetry information is provided, we may use it to understand compatibility, failures, and product usage patterns and to guide development.

Legal and administrative purposes. We may retain or use information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, or protect our rights and systems.

5. Legal bases where applicable

Where privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, the basis will depend on the context. We may process information because it is necessary to respond to your request or perform a contract, because we have legitimate interests in operating and securing our services, because we must comply with a legal obligation, or because you have given consent. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent subject to applicable law.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

WordPress and its plugins may use cookies or similar browser storage for functions such as administrator login, session management, security, form protection, and user preferences. Security and infrastructure providers may also use browser-side mechanisms necessary to provide their services.

If you are an administrator or other authorized user who signs in to WordPress, WordPress sets authentication and preference cookies. Public visitors may encounter functional or security-related cookies or browser storage when required by the services used on a page.

7. When we share information

We use service providers to operate parts of the website and our product business. Depending on the service you use, information may be processed by providers involved in website hosting and infrastructure, Cloudflare security and Turnstile, Freemius licensing/commerce, payment processing, email delivery, MailPoet mailing-list management, security monitoring, backups, and technical support tooling.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of Tech Dragon, our users, or our systems. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their own contractual and legal safeguards.

8. Embedded content and external links

Pages may link to or embed content from third-party websites. Embedded content can behave as though you visited the third-party site directly and may allow that provider to collect information according to its own privacy practices. External sites are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

9. How long we retain information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, contractual, accounting, legal, support, and security needs.

Contact and support correspondence may be retained to maintain project or support history. Purchase and licensing records may be retained for the life of the customer relationship and for applicable accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal periods. Mailing-list information is generally retained until you unsubscribe or the list is retired. Security and server logs are retained according to the settings and operational needs of the relevant hosting and security systems. Optional telemetry may be retained or aggregated for product-development and reliability analysis.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights to request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, request portability, or withdraw consent. Some requests may be limited where we must retain information for legal, contractual, security, fraud-prevention, or other lawful reasons.

To make a privacy request, use our Contact page and clearly identify the request as privacy-related. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also have the right to complain to the privacy or data-protection authority that applies where you live.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and security controls intended to protect the site and the information handled through it. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information and use the dedicated secure mechanisms provided by payment, licensing, or account services when applicable.

12. Children’s privacy

This website and our commercial WordPress products are intended for business and general adult use and are not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, contact us so we can review the situation.

13. Product-specific privacy information

A Tech Dragon plugin or service may provide additional privacy, telemetry, or data-handling information that is specific to that product. Where a product-specific notice describes a particular data flow in more detail, that more specific information supplements this website policy.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, products, service providers, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be changed when the policy is revised.
